The Marantz SA-10 is a Hi-Fi News Outstanding Product award winner that combines Super Audio CD, CD, and Digital to Analogue audio conversion into a single high-tech unit that delivers solidity, detail, and dynamics.
At the heart of the SA-10 is a specially made SACD-M3 transport mechanism, created solely for the best performance possible from your CD and SA-CD discs. Hi resolution digital audio burned to CD or DVD is also supported for playback, with FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, and MP3 files supported.
Along with optical media, the SA-10 can act as a Digital to Analogue converter for digital files stored on personal devices such as iPods, iPhones, and computers, as well as external digital playback devices using conventional optical and coaxial connections. The USB-B asynchronous input is compatible with PCM and DXD music files with resolutions up to 384kHz/32bit, along with DSD64, DSD128, and DSD256.
The Digital to Analogue conversion technology used in the SA-10 has been remodelled to allow for 1-bit conversion and brand new filtering and upconversion. The Marantz Musical Mastering Stream section of the process replaces the usual filters with ones capable of a much higher oversampling rate, with conversion done in Digital Signal Processing with 32-bit floating point precision.
Constructed to the highest possible standards, the SA-10 uses a double-layered copper-plated chassis that offers excellent interference rejection, with casework constructed from thick non-magnetic aluminium panels. The digital input selection has been isolated to help avoid any electrical noise from connected devices finding its way into the signal path.
The Marantz SA-10 brings out the best of your CD collection, and adds digital audio compatibility for greater and higher quality audio libraries.
