Audio Technica AT-OC9XEN Dual Moving Coil Stereo Cartridge with Elliptical Nude Stylus
The Audio Technica AT-OC9XEN dual MC Phono Cartridge represents an accessible option within the OC9X cartridge range, substituting the boron cantilever found in higher-end models with an aluminium pipe design. This, combined with a nude square shank elliptical stylus, maintains the excellent channel separation characteristic of the OC9X series.
Performance
To enhance sound quality, the cartridge body is crafted from rigid aluminium, reducing resonance. Paired with a neodymium magnet and permedur yoke, this setup significantly boosts magnetic energy. The nude elliptical stylus meticulously tracks the record groove with superior precision, delivering rich full-range audio and greater transient response.
PCOCC Coil
The AT-OC9XEN utilises pure copper coils formed through the ohno continuous casting process, ensuring exceptional audio performance. These coils are arranged in a reverse V-shape, exerting less pressure on the elliptical stylus to minimise distortion. With a pre-threaded cartridge body, installation onto a headshell or integral tonearm is straightforward, requiring only two screws and eliminating the need for nuts.
Please Note: Moving coil cartridges require receivers or preamps with compatible inputs; their stylus assemblies are not field-replaceable.
